If you’re a writer or you’re selling information products like eBooks on your website, then you might want to read this article. I’ve often thought about publishing eBooks on topics like marketing or doing business online, but I was always concerned about piracy. Someone stealing my hard work, posting it on some pirate site for free downloading; or worse yet, putting their name on my work and claiming credit for it as their own. Well, recently I came across a WordPress plugin called WP PDF Stamper that has put my fears to rest. I’ve purchased many ecommerce plugins from the developer, and I like them so much that I’ve put links to this and a few of his other great e-commerce plugins on my site. WP PDF Stamper allows you to automatically stamp the footer of your PDF eBooks with the customer’s personal details (e.g. name, email, address) upon purchase to discourage sharing. Additionally you can password protect the stamped PDF files with the customer’s email address and encrypt the PDF files to prevent users from being able to copy, modify or print the content of the file. It’s also easily to integrate with PayPal.
