Free Seminar: How to Start a Business in Ohio

The Small Business Roundtable is a free seminar explaining how to start a small business in Ohio.  The seminar will take place on Oct. 23, from 9-11 a.m. in the HomeCare Matters Home Health & Hospice Conference Room, located at 1220 North Market Street in Galion.

“The focus of the seminar is to provide resources, information and ideas to people who have lost their jobs, or those who just want to gain some financial independence by starting their own business. Most people just don’t know where to start looking for information.  That’s what this is all about: bringing as many resources as possible into one location”, said John Lizotte, organizer of the seminar.

Representatives from the Galion Chamber of Commerce, Crawford County Economic Development Partnership, and the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office will be on hand to answer questions about doing business in Ohio.

Some of the topics covered will be: business planning, marketing, organization and registration requirements, loans, and grant information.  Participants will be given ample resources for more information while they are starting their own business.

The seminar is free, but registration is required to allow for adequate participant materials to be provided.  Registration and additional information is available at: http://www.johnlizotte.com/events/, or by sending an email to: OhioSBRT@gmail.com.  Interested persons may also call (419) 631-3927 to register or request more information.
