U.S. Census Bureau annual employment size of firm data (partially funded by the Office of Advocacy) on firm births, deaths and job creation has been updated for 2007.

Additions to the firm size data for this year include the number of firms by legal form of organization.  We have also added introductory data and links for two other firm size data programs, Census’ Business Dynamics Statistics (BDS) and the Bureau of Labor Statistics‘ Business Employment Dynamics (BED).

BDS supplies firm age data while BED supplies relatively current firm size data.

See http://www.sba.gov/advo/research/data.html for data.
